On Friday 18th August we closed the brewery for the day to enable the full team to fundraise for 2 charities close to our hearts.
Following the devastating loss of Leon earlier in the year to Pancreatic cancer, the team wanted to create something positive and so the charity climb idea was born.
Joined by Leon's wife and a number of other family members of the team, we strapped on a walking boots and set off on the endeavour.
The forecast was heavy rain, but we were blessed. Whilst Snowdon was cloud covered for the majority of our walk, and very windy at the top (yes those are real people on hands and knees to the summit on the lead image!) the rain actually held off until we were back in our transport.
It was an adventure full of challenges but the team spirit was fantastic and Leon was definitely felt to be there in spirit.
On the way back down the clouds lifted and gave us all a sense of what we had achieved - aside from sore knees, feet and paws!
Rounded off with a superb meal at the end the team celebrated a brilliant adventure where the fundraise had exceeded expectations.
At last count we have raised over £3,300 for Pancreatic Cancer UK and East Cheshire Hospice. Thank you all for your support. It is very much appreciated.
